.- When Keenan passed away, Chocolate Skateboards decided to remove all inventory associated with his name from circulation; the emotional impact was profound. Among these products were several dozen decks belonging to the City Series 2 collection, labeled with the name "Milton." These decks remained stored, untouched, for over 16 years, until the brand understood that they deserved to be in the hands of those who truly valued Keenan's legacy and energy: people who shared moments, laughter, and admiration for his way of being.

It was in 2017 when Chocolate began to distribute these decks carefully, each accompanied by a handwritten note, delivered to Keenan's close friends. However, upon reaching deck number 40, something unexpected happened: a Richard Mulder deck had accidentally been sent. This led the team to review the remaining inventory, discovering that, beneath the first 40 Keenan decks, there were 200 additional Mulder decks, belonging to the same series. Surprised by the find, they chose to store these pieces for seven more years.

Now, in celebration of Chocolate Skateboards' 30-year trajectory, the brand has decided to publicly release these vintage Richard Mulder decks. This is original, unused stock, limited to only 200 units, each with a screen-printed design created by Evan Hecox. More than simple collector's items, these decks represent an essential part of the brand's history and of the moments that remain alive in the collective memory of skateboarding.

Choosing a skateboard according to shoe size

How wide should your skateboard be?

When choosing your complete skateboard, deck width matters ... a lot. As a rule of thumb: the larger your shoe size, the wider your skateboard deck should be .

But don't worry, it's not a law written in stone: if you have ogre feet and want a narrower skate, go for it, you're the boss.

Choose your skate according to your shoe size and avoid drama:

  • Size US 7 / EU 40 → table from 7.875″ to 8.125″
  • Size US 8 / EU 41 → 8.00″ to 8.25″
  • Size US 9 / EU 42 → 8.00″ to 8.375″

Example : For shoe size EU 40, we recommend a full board width of 7.875″ - 8.125″.

Our skateboard size chart provides clear recommendations for choosing the deck width that best fits your shoe size. And if you want to get straight to the point, use the "width" filter in the shop to see only complete skateboards in your perfect size.

EU shoe size Table width recommendation
EU 32 7″ - 7.375″
EU 34 7.375″ - 7.625″
EU 36 7.5″ - 7.875″
EU 38 7.625″ - 8″
EU 39 7.75″ - 8.125″
EU 40 7.875″ - 8.125″
EU 42 8.00″ - 8.25″
EU 44 8.125″ - 8.5″
EU 46 8.375″ - 8.625″
Choosing a skateboard according to height

And the length of the skateboard? It shouldn't be a surfboard.
When choosing your skateboard, the length of the deck also counts , although not as much as the width.
Of course, if the board is too long for your legs, you'll end up fighting it like a dragon.

A skateboard of the right length gives you more control, especially if you're just starting out and don't want to be kissing the ground all the time.

Important fact : Wider skateboards are usually longer too. So everything goes hand in hand, just like the nose and the tail.

Choose the length of your skateboard according to your height:

  • You are 160 cm tall → board from 31.5″ to 31.875″
  • You are 170 cm → 31.75″ to 32.00″
  • You are 180 cm → 31.875″ to 32.25″
